Govt cancels passports of Hasina, 75 others
The government has cancelled the passports of 75 individuals, including ousted Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, citing their involvement in the July killings.
This was disclosed by Shafiqul Alam, the press secretary to the chief adviser, during a press briefing at the Foreign Service Academy on Bailey Road in Dhaka on Tuesday, January 7.
In addition, the passports of 22 people have been revoked due to their alleged involvement in enforced disappearances.
Abul Kalam Azad Majumder, deputy press secretary to the chief adviser, iterated this information at the same press briefing, underscoring the government's stance on addressing these incidents.
