Gold stolen from house: 32 bhoris recovered, 2 arrested

A total of 45 bhoris of gold were stolen from a house in the Adabar area of Mohammadpur, Dhaka, after a locker was broken into. The police have recovered 32 bhories of the stolen gold.

Two individuals, identified as Mahin and Rehan, were arrested in connection with the theft.

This was confirmed by SM Zakaria, the officer-in-charge (OC) of Adabar Police Station, on Saturday.

He explained that the theft occurred late on the night of Friday, when a locker at a house on Road 16 in Adabar was broken into, and 45 bhoris of gold were stolen. The victim subsequently filed a formal complaint.

OC Zakaria added that the police launched an investigation and arrested the two suspects after analysing CCTV footage. Of the 45 bhoris of stolen gold, 32 bhoris have been recovered. Efforts are still underway to recover the remaining gold.
