Tenure of 6 reform commissions extended

The interim government has extended the tenure of six reform commissions formed for reforms to various sectors of the country.

The Cabinet Division issued a notification in this regard on Thursday, January 2.

The tenures of the Public Administration Reform Commission, Police Reform Commission, Electoral Reform Commission, Anti-Corruption Commission Reform Commission, and Judiciary Reform Commission have been extended till January 15, while the term of the Constitutional Reform Commission has been extended till January 31, according to the notification.

The interim government reformed five reform commissions – the Public Administration Reform Commission, Police Reform Commission, Electoral Reform Commission, Anti-Corruption Commission Reform Commission, and Judiciary Reform Commission – on October 3 and the Constitutional Reform Commission on October 6 and gave them 90 days to submit reports.

The deadline of the five commissions was supposed to end on January 2, while the term of remaining one was supposed to end on January 5.
