Bangladeshi couple drown in Australia beach

A Bangladeshi couple have died trying to save their two children from drowning at a beach in Australia.

The deceased were Shahidul Hasan Swapan, and his wife Sabrina Ahmed Papri, former students of Khulna University. They both taught at the Curtin University in Australia.

The incident took place at Conspicuous Cliff beach near Walpole on Saturday, December 28.

Swapan and Papri alongwith family members went to the beach on Christmas holiday.

At one stage, their two daughters were drowning due to the tide. They quickly jumped into the sea to save them. Although, the children were rescued, they sank.
