All types of temporary Secretariat access passes for private individuals have been revoked, except for the permanent access passes (Digital Access Control System) issued to officials and employees working at the Secretariat, and temporary passes issued to government officials and employees.

Access to the Secretariat using accreditation cards issued to journalists has been suspended until further notice, according to an official statement.

The information was disclosed on Friday night through a press release signed by Khuda Baksh Chowdhury, Special Assistant to the Chief Adviser for Home Affairs, reports BSS.

Holders of revoked Secretariat access passes can apply for a new temporary pass within the next 15 days through a special cell established at the Bangladesh Police Crime Command and Control Centere, DMP, located at 15 Abdul Gani Road, Dhaka.

The order was issued in response to security concerns arising from the fire incident at the Secretariat.
