Missing co-coordinator returns after 4 days

Khaled Hasan, the central co-coordinator of the anti-discrimination student movement and a student of Dhaka University, has returned to the university’s hall four days after being reported missing. Due to illness, he has been admitted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH).

Khaled, a student of the Arabic Department at Dhaka University for the 2021-22 academic year, resides in Shaheed Sergeant Zahurul Haq Hall.

On Tuesday (December 24), around 11:30 pm, he arrived at his dorm in a rickshaw. Shortly after, his classmates took him to the emergency department of the hospital around 12:45 am.

Classmate Ahsan Habib Imroz said that Khaled had gone missing from the hall on December 20. He unexpectedly returned to the hall last night. After arriving, he fell ill, and with the help of the Nilkhet police outpost, he was quickly taken to the hospital.

Imroz added that the whereabouts of Khaled or with whom he had been for the past four days are still unknown. He is currently silent and not speaking, and full details will be revealed once he recovers.

Sub-Inspector (SI) Mohammad Al Amin, in charge of the Nilkhet police outpost, said that a general diary had been filed as soon as Khaled was reported missing. Last night, he returned to the university hall alone in a rickshaw and fell ill. With the help of other students, he was taken to the hospital.

He further stated that Khaled is currently admitted to cabin number 104 on the 10th floor of DMCH-2, where he is undergoing treatment.
