He made this statement in response to a journalist's question during an event at the BGB headquarters in Pilkhana on Monday (December 23).
Jahangir said, "You have always wanted a commission for the BDR carnage. The Chief Adviser approved the formation of the commission on Sunday night. The commission consists of seven members."
The commission's members include former Director General of BGB, ALM Fazlur Rahman, who will serve as the chairperson. Other members include two representatives from the armed forces, one from the civil service, one professor from Dhaka University, one from Jagannath University, and a senior police officer.
When asked about the incident of harassment of a freedom fighter in Cumilla on Sunday, he said, "A certain number of miscreants are still present everywhere. Those miscreants who harassed him will definitely be brought to justice."
