AF Hassan Arrif, Adviser to the interim government's Ministry of Land and Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism, was laid to rest at the Martyred Intellectuals' Graveyard in Mirpur around 10:30 am on Monday.

Industry Adviser Adilur Rahman Khan, Home Affairs Adviser Lieutenant General (Retd) Md Jahangir Alam Chowdhury, Hassan Ariff’s son Muaz Ariff, and other family members were present during the burial.

Muaz Ariff said, "We are one brother and one sister, and we grew up in a court environment from a young age. If we needed anything from our father, we could only ask on Saturdays. I began to get closer to my father when I started working with him in his chamber. He was always busy in court and in the chamber. Everyone knows how he was as a lawyer. He always took care of us. I believe the work he left behind will always benefit the country."

Hasan Ariff passed away on Friday, December 20, at 3:10 pm while undergoing treatment at LabAid Hospital in the capital. His personal secretary, Mohammad Nasir Uddin, confirmed the news, and according to the doctors' initial information, he died from a heart attack.

Officials from the adviser's office revealed that he had suddenly collapsed while sitting down to have lunch at home. He was rushed to the hospital, where doctors confirmed he had suffered a heart attack. He was declared dead at 3:10 pm.

On August 8, Hassan Ariff took the oath as an adviser to the interim government and was assigned the responsibilities of the Ministry of Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives, and the Ministry of Land. On November 10, the government redistributed the advisers' offices, keeping the Ministry of Land under his charge, but assigning him the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism instead of the Ministry of Local Government.
