DB arrested 3 stamp forgers in city

Detectives in separate drives arrested six alleged criminals, including three stamp forgers and an illegal arms trader, from different parts of the capital on Friday night.

A team of the Detective Branch (DB) of police arrested three people, including an alleged arms trader, along with one pistol, one shooter gun and 12 rounds of cartridges from Shah Ali area in the city in the night, said Muntasirul Islam, deputy commissioner (Media) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police.

In another drive, a team of DB police arrested three stamp forgers along with forged stamps worth over Tk18.20 lakh in the capital.

Identities of the arrestees could not be known immediately.
