Bangladesh calls for restraint and dialogue in Syria

Emphasising the importance of calm and peace, Bangladesh urges all parties, including the Syrian Transitional Government, to exercise restraint and respect the aspirations of the Syrian people while seeking peaceful solutions through dialogue.
Bangladesh foreign ministry in a statement iterated its steadfast position on Syria's territorial integrity and sovereignty. Condemning any illegal aggression, particularly by Israel, Bangladesh called for external actions to respect Syria’s sovereignty, especially during this moment of significant transition.
Recognising the challenges and opportunities presented by the ongoing developments, Bangladesh expressed hope that the Syrian people can rebuild their nation based on the principles of inclusivity, democracy, and human rights.
