Govt officials, employees to get dearness allowance

All government officials and employees will receive a dearness allowance, according to Md Mokhlesur Rahman, Senior Secretary of the Ministry of Public Administration.

Speaking at a press conference on Sunday (December 15) regarding the report of the Dearness Allowance and Deprivation Elimination Committee, the senior secretary confirmed this decision. Officials and employees on post-retirement leave (PRL) will also be eligible for the allowance this time.

The Finance Division has already formed a committee to determine the dearness allowance for government employees. Mokhlesur Rahman also mentioned that the committee will decide the percentage of the allowance to be provided.
