Travel ban on 5 ex-MPs, family members

The Anti-Corruption Commission, ACC, on Thursday approved a foreign travel ban on five former parliament members (MP) of the Awami League government and their family members to probe various irregularities and corruptions against them.

Those who were barred from leaving the country are former Feni-1 MP Alauddin Ahmed Chowdhury Nasim, former Bhola-3 MP Nurunnabi Chowdhury Shawon, former Habiganj-3 MP Abu Jahir, former Noakhali-1 MP HM Ibrahim, and former Lakshmipur-2 MP Nuruddin Chowdhury Nayan, and their wives, sons, and daughters. 

ACC’s public relations officer Aktarul Islam confirmed the matter to Jago News.
