Ctg, Rajshahi, 10 more districts get new SPs

In a major reshuffle, the interim government has assigned new superintendent of police (SP) to 12 districts.

The Public Security Division under the Ministry of Home Affairs issued a notification on Wednesday, December 11, appointing the SPs to Rangpur, Chattogram, Rajshahi, Mymensingh, Dinajpur, Barishal, Gazipur, Manikganj, Gaibandha, Habiganj, Brahmanbaria, and Naogaon.

Md Abu Saim, an official of the Police Headquarters, has been appointed to Rangpur, Md Abu Sayem Pradhan of In-Service Training Center Gaibandha to Chattogram, Mohammad Jahidul Islam Mia, deputy secretary at the Ministry of Shipping, to Rajbari, Kazi Akhtar Ul Alam of Police Bureau of Investigation, PBI, to Mymensingh, and Md Zakir Hossain of police’s special branch (SB) to Dinajpur as superintendents.

Md Sharif Uddin of PBI has appointed SP to Barishal, Farzana Islam of SB to Rajshahi, Dr Chowdhury Md Zaber Sadek of Police Headquarters to Gazipur, and Yeasmin Khan of police’s Anti Terrorism Unit to Manikganj.

Besides, Nishat Angel of Armed Police Battalion (APBn), Md Aslam Shahjad of Dhaka Range DIG Office, Ehteshamul Haque of PBI, and Mohammad Shafiul Sarwar of SB have been made SPs to Gaibandha, Habiganj, Brahmanbaria, and Naogaon respectively.
