Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) on Friday predicted light rain is likely to occur at one or two places over three south and southeastern divisions in the next 24 hours commencing from this morning.

"Light rain is likely to occur at one or two places over Khulna, Barishal and Chattogram divisions. Weather may remain mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy sky elsewhere over the country," said the forecast begins from 9:00am.

The Deep Depression over the Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining area moved northnorthwestwards over the same area at 6:00am today.

It is likely to move north-northwesterly direction further. Its associated trough extends up to the North Bay.

Night temperature may rise and day temperature may fall slightly over the country.

Country's maximum temperature on Thursday was recorded 32.4 degree Celsius at Sitakunda and today's minimum temperature 11.3 degree Celsius was recorded at Tetulia.

The sun sets at 5.10pm today and rises at 6.23am tomorrow in the capital.
