7 more dengue patients die, 837 hospitalised in 24 hrs

Seven more dengue patients died and 837 were hospitalised in the country in the last 24 hours.

With this, a total of 90,440 dengue cases and 482 deaths from the mosquito-borne disease were reported from January 1 to November 28 this year, a Directorate General of Health Services press release said on Thursday. 

Of the dead, two were from Dhaka North City Corporation, one from Dhaka South City Corporation, and two from Dhaka division, one from Barishal division, and another from Khulna division, according to the release.

Last year, the country recorded 1,705 deaths from the disease which was the highest fatality in a year.

Besides, 3,21,179 dengue cases were reported in the same year.
