Juba League leader sues ex-minister Mosharraf in Ctg

A local Juba League leader has filed a case against 51 individuals, including Awami League’s presidium member and former Housing and Public Works Minister Engineer Mosharraf Hossain, in Chattogram’s Mirsharai.

Md Yusuf Mia, joint secretary of Katachhara union unit Juba League in the upazila, filed the case with the Jorarganj police station on Saturday.

In the case statement, Yusuf Mia alleged that an attack led by engineer Mosharraf was carried out on him on February 12, 2022, aiming to kill him as he protested various irregularities committed by the former minister.

The plaintiff said he was named in seven cases over infighting despite doing Awami League’s politics for twelve years and the cases were filed in the direction of engineer Mosharraf.
