7 burnt in Mirpur gas cylinder blast
Seven people, including three children, suffered burn injuries in a gas cylinder explosion at a house in Mirpur, Dhaka, early Sunday.
The injured are Abdul Khalil, 40, Ruma Akter, 32, Abdullah, 13, Mohammad, 10, Ismat, 4, Swapna, 25, and Shahjahan, 34.
They were all admitted to the emergency department of the National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery, and three of them are in critical condition.
Dr Md Shaon Bin Rahman, a resident physician at the institute, stated that the seven burn victims from Mirpur are receiving treatment at the hospital. Among them, Abdul Khalil has sustained 95% burns, Abdullah has 38% burns, and Mohammad has 35% burns.
