5 dengue patients die, 1,034 hospitalised in 24 hrs

Five more dengue patients died and 1,034 were hospitalised in the country in the last 24 hours.
With this, a total of 83,154 dengue cases and 427 deaths from the mosquito-borne disease were reported from January 1 to November 20 this year, a Directorate General of Health Services press release said on Wednesday.
Last year, the country recorded 1,705 deaths from the disease which was the highest fatality in a year.
Besides, 3,21,179 dengue cases were reported in the same year.
