Elections as soon as possible after urgent reforms: Asif Nazrul
Law, Justice, and Parliamentary Affairs Adviser Asif Nazrul on Tuesday stated that elections would be held as soon as possible after completing the urgent reforms.
He made this statement in response to a question during a press conference regarding the Law Ministry's 100-day activities at the Secretariat on Tuesday, November 19.
When asked about the duration of the interim government and when elections would take place, the adviser said, "This is not the concern of the Ministry of Law. We will complete the most urgent reforms and hold the elections as soon as possible."
He further said, "We do not want a fraudulent election like before. We do not want anyone who wins the election to have the opportunity to conduct a fake election again. There are no other interests involved. Most of the members of the interim government are eager to return to their respective professions as soon as possible."
