Students of Titumir College ended their 5-hour blockade on both roads and railways on Monday (November 18), following their demand for the conversion of the college into a university.

As previously announced, the students cleared the roads around 4:00pm and began returning to the college campus. The protest began at around 11:00am when the students organised a procession from the college to Amtali and positioned themselves at the nearby railway gate and surrounding roads.

During the blockade, the students threw bricks and stones to stop two passing trains, injuring several people, including women and children. Despite the injuries, the students continued with their protest throughout the day.
