8 dengue patients die, 1,389 hospitalised in 24 hrs

Eight more dengue patients died and 1,389 were hospitalised in the country in the last 24 hours.
With this, a total of 79,984 dengue cases and 415 deaths from the mosquito-borne disease were reported from January 1 to November 17 this year, a Directorate General of Health Services press release said on Sunday.
Of the dead, seven were from Dhaka South City Corporation, and one from Chattogram division.
Last year, the country recorded 1,705 deaths from the disease which was the highest fatality in a year.
Besides, 3,21,179 dengue cases were reported in the same year.
