8 dengue patients die, 994 hospitalised in 24 hrs

Eight more dengue patients died and 994 were hospitalised in the country in the last 24 hours.
With this, a total of 78,595 dengue cases and 407 deaths from the mosquito-borne disease were reported from January 1 to November 16 this year, a Directorate General of Health Services press release said on Saturday.
Of the dead, five were from Dhaka South City Corporation, two from Dhaka North City, and one from Chattogram division.
Last year, the country recorded 1,705 deaths from the disease which was the highest fatality in a year.
Besides, 3,21,179 dengue cases were reported in the same year.
