2 soldiers injured in Rangamati gun battle with terrorists

Two members of Bangladesh Army and three terrorists were injured in a gun battle between soldiers and terrorists at Mubachori area in Naniarchar upazila of Rangamati district on Friday early morning.

Officer-in charge of Naniarchar Police Station Shajahan said acting on secret information that a group of terrorists were staying at Mubachori area in the upazila, a team of arm forces conducted a drive at the area in Thursday night around 11pm.

As part of the drive, soldiers used to cordon area to hold the terrorists.

On one stage of the drive, sensed the presence of Army personal terrorists opened fire on them, forced them to retaliate, triggered a gun battle on Friday early morning, leaving two army men and three terrorists injured by bullet.

Later, army men arrested 12 terrorists from the area.
