Another mastermind of Gulshan attack identified: CT Boss

Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime Unit (CT) chief Monirul Islam said law enforcers have identified another mastermind of Gulshan Holey Artisan Bakery attack.

During the attack militants had sent pictures and information to one Marzan, mastermind of the attack, the CT boss unveiled the information to the journalists in a press briefing in DMP’s media center on Friday morning.

He said Marzan is a Bangladeshi national and now he is staying in Dhaka.

Earlier, on July 1, gunman stormed into Holey Artisan Bakery of Gulshan area, an upscale diner, favorite to foreigners, killed 22 people including 17 foreigners and two police officers.

Police identified ex-army person Major Zia and Tamim Chowdhury, a Canadian expatriates, as the masterminds of the attack and declared tk 20 lakh as bounty for them.
