CT detains 5 JMB men in city

Members of Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime Unit (CT) detained five suspected members of banned militant outfit Jama`atul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) with explosives and detonators from Mirpur Technical intersection in the city on Thursday night.

The identities of the detainee could not be known yet.

According to mobile SMS sent by Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) to media houses, in a drive police arrested the five JMB men along with huge amount explosives and detonators from Mirpur area.

Details regarding the matter will be disclosed in a press briefing at DMP Media Centre on Friday.
