9 police officers sent on forced retirement

The government on Wednesday ordered the compulsory retirement of nine officials from Bangladesh Police. 

The group includes one Additional Superintendent of Police and eight Assistant Superintendents of Police. 

The Ministry of Home Affairs issued nine separate notifications for the forced retirement of these officers. The officials sent on compulsory retirement are: Additional Superintendent of Police Bhuiyan Mahbub Hasan, APBn, Assistant Superintendent of Police Mehdi Hasan Jhantu, CID, Assistant Superintendent of Police Md Ziaur Rahman, CID (transferred to APBn), Assistant Superintendent of Police Abu Md Fazlul Karim, Special Branch, Assistant Superintendent of Police Ranjit Kumar Barua, Shilpanchal Police, Assistant Superintendent of Police Appella Raju Naha, Betbunia PSTS, Assistant Superintendent of Police Md Aktaruzzaman, CID, Assistant Superintendent of Police Mizanur Rahman, Sylhet Metropolitan Police, Assistant Superintendent of Police Azizur Rahman Sarkar, Madhavpur Circle.

These members of the BCS (Police) cadre have been granted retirement in the public interest under Section 45 of the Public Service Act, 2018 (Act No. 57 of 2018). They are entitled to receive retirement benefits as per the rules.
