No decision to ban any political party: CA’s Press Wing
No decision has been made by the government to ban any political party, the Chief Adviser’s Press Wing said on Monday.
Addressing questions from journalists, Deputy Press Secretary Mohammad Abul Kalam Azad clarified that while the government has indeed banned Chhatra League, it has not opted to impose any restrictions on political parties.
Azad spoke at a press conference held at the Foreign Service Academy, where he also shared that Chief Adviser Muhammad Yunus supports creating a replica of the notorious "Aynaghar (Mirror House)" at Ganabhaban, which is being transformed into a museum. This replica will serve to commemorate significant events of the recent past.
When questioned about an alleged audio clip involving Sheikh Hasina, Press Secretary Shafiqul Alam responded, "I can’t comment without reviewing the audio. Advanced technology, like deep fakes, can sometimes mimic voices."
On the matter of the president’s possible removal, Azad noted, "Adviser Rizwana has addressed this. The issue will be resolved through consultations with political parties."
