Indian elephant sedated in Jamalpur

After six days of relentless effort, the wild elephant, which entered into Bangladesh from India’s Assam, has been possible to tranquilize at last.

The authority able to anesthetize the elephant at around 2:30pm in Koyra village of Jamalpur’s Sorishabari upazila on Thursday in presence of thousands of local people.

The rescue team cordoned local Rahim Mondol’s house as the elephant remained laying down.

The elephant now been tied to a mango tree.
