Six injured as car runs over pedestrians in Dhaka

A car ran over six pedestrians on the road in front of Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka, leaving three individuals seriously injured. 

The victims were rescued and admitted to the National Orthopedic Hospital and Rehabilitation Center (Pangu Hospital).

Additional Deputy Police Commissioner (ADC) Fazlul Karim of the Traffic-North Division provided this information to Jago News on Sunday evening, October 27. 

The accident occurred around noon near the third terminal of the airport when the front wheel of the car got punctured, causing the driver, Mustafizur Rahman, to lose control of the vehicle. 

The car subsequently struck six pedestrians walking along the road. 

Following the incident, the driver and the vehicle were immediately detained by the police, who are preparing to take further legal action.
