124 agencies have no registered Hajj pilgrims, ministry warns of action

The Ministry of Religious Affairs has issued a warning to 124 approved agencies for Hajj operations next year, noting that they have no pre-registered or primarily registered Hajj pilgrims.

In a recent letter to the agencies, the ministry stated that administrative action will be taken against those that fail to comply with registration conditions.

The letter highlighted that the ministry had published a list of 891 Hajj agencies for 2025, outlining a specific condition: "If any agency on the released list does not register Hajj pilgrims for Hajj 2025 without valid reason, administrative action will be taken against it."

Primary Hajj registration for 2025 commenced on September 1, and as of Saturday, October 26, a total of 8,334 individuals have completed the primary registration process through government and private channels. The ministry confirmed that primary Hajj registration will remain open until November 30, with Hajj packages expected to be announced on October 30.

Bangladesh is permitted to send a total of 127,198 devotees for Hajj in 2025.
