Chaos at Secretariat: 26 students arrested, 28 released
Fifty-four students were detained for causing chaos after entering the Secretariat to demand the cancellation of the HSC exam results. The police have filed a case with Shahbagh police station regarding the incident.
Of the 54 detained students, 26 were shown as arrested, while the remaining 28 were released into the custody of their families.
Muhammad Talebur Rahman, Deputy Commissioner of the Media and Public Relations Division of Dhaka Metropolitan Police, shared this information on Thursday (October 24).
He said that the students were detained by police for allegedly causing chaos after entering the Secretariat, and they were later taken to Shahbagh police station.
Talebur Rahman further added that the police filed a case against 60 to 70 unidentified individuals in connection with the incident. Among the detained students, 26 were shown as arrested, while the remaining 28 were released to their families' custody.
