Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested former chairman of Sirajganj’s Tarash upazila, Md Moniruzzaman Moni, in the capital’s Dhanmondi on Monday night.
Shihab Karim, Assistant Director of the RAB-2, confirmed the arrest on Tuesday morning.
He said Moni was arrested in connection with a murder attempt case filed at the Tarash police station in Sirajganj. The next legal steps are underway regarding this matter.
