Action against those appointed on partisan considerations: Adviser
Home Adviser Md Jahangir Alam Chowdhury has warned that the government will take action against the officials who got appointed on political considerations during Awami League regime.
He said this while talking to the reporters after visiting Rajshahi Battalion-1 of the Border Guard Bangladesh on Saturday afternoon (October 19).
“Probably some candidates were appointed based on merit during the last regime (Awami League). However, those who got job on political considerations, a step would be taken against them definitely,” he said.
About the policemen who are absent in job yet, the adviser said 187 officials did not report to duty so far. “They are no longer in the police force. We consider they are terrorists. They would be arrested directly.”
It is true police members cannot join work in full swing as they are in a trauma, he said, adding that the situation is, however, gradually improving.”
