Outsourcing employees from various government institutions on Saturday blocked the Shahbagh intersection, in demand for job nationalisation, resulting in traffic coming to a halt in this busy area of the capital.

They staged the protest on Saturday at around 10:30 am. During this time, the protesters filled the Shahbagh intersection with slogans.

After 10:00 am, they positioned themselves in Shahbagh, marching from in front of the National Museum. They chanted various slogans, including "In Dr Yunus's Bangladesh, there is no place for discrimination" and "Break the British servitude."

As hundreds of employees gathered in Shahbagh, traffic in the surrounding areas came to a standstill. Many passengers were seen getting off buses and walking toward their destinations.

The protesters stated, "Dismissals from jobs will not be tolerated; regular salaries must be paid.
