Hasina faces arrest warrant for Jul-Aug massacres
The reconstituted International Crimes Tribunal (ICT) on Thursday issued an arrest warrant for ousted Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, following allegations of involvement in massacres during the July-August uprising.
The tribunal ordered law enforcement to arrest Sheikh Hasina and produce her in court by November 18.
The order came after Advocate Mohammad Tajul Islam, the tribunal's chief prosecutor, formally requested the arrest warrant.
The trial proceedings are being led by Tribunal Chairman Justice Golam Mortuza Majumdar, with Justice Shafiul Alam Mahmud and Justice Md Mohitul Haque Enam Chowdhury serving as tribunal members.
