Light to moderate rain likely over country
Bangladesh Meteorological Department, BMD, on Friday (October 11) forecasted light to moderate rainfall at different places across the country for the next 24 hours beginning from 9:00am this morning.
“Light to moderate rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at a few places over Sylhet division and at one or two places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh, Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal and Chattogram divisions with moderately heavy falls at places over the country”, the BMD said in its latest weather bulletin this morning.
Monsoon trough runs through Bihar, West Bengal to Assam across central part of Bangladesh.
The monsoon is fairly active over Bangladesh and weak to moderate over North Bay.
The country’s maximum temperature was recorded 35.0 degree Celsius at Mongla on Thursday and minimum temperature was recorded 23.8 degree Celsius at Sylhet today.
Maximum rainfall for the last twenty-four hours till 6:00am today was recorded 24 millimeters(mm) at Sylhet.
Day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.
