Hasnat demands removal of President Shahabuddin

Hasnat Abdullah, a coordinator of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement, which led the July-August uprising, has called for the removal of Mohammed Shahabuddin from his position as President of the Republic.

In a recent Facebook post, Abdullah outlined a series of demands, including the trial of the Awami League, the creation of a new charter for the Republic, the replacement of corrupt bureaucrats loyal to the Awami League, and the cancellation of all agreements signed during the Awami League's tenure.

In his post, Abdullah wrote, "The trial of Awami League should be ensured, a new charter for the republic should be formulated, corrupt bureaucrats loyal to Awami League should be replaced, all agreements signed during the Awami League regime should be cancelled, and Chuppu should be immediately removed from the post of President."

Within just an hour of posting, Abdullah’s statement garnered 66,000 reactions, 10,000 comments, and 2,500 shares, reflecting significant public engagement.
