5 remanded in blogger Ananta murder

A Sylhet court has granted a seven-day remand of five members of banned militant outfit Ansarullah Bangla Team for questioning over the murder of blogger Ananta Bijoy Das.
Sylhet Metropolitan Magistrate 2 MM Anwarul Hoque made the remand order on Wednesday noon. The CID had asked for 15 days remand for them.
The five - British-Bangladeshi Touhidur Rahman, Sadek Ali Mithu, Aminul Mallik, Ariful Islam and Jakirul Prakash - are also accused of the murder of writer-blogger Avijit Roy at Dhaka University on Feb 26.
