12 bhori gold missing from Samabaya Bank’s locker

AF Hassan Ariff, adviser for local government, rural development, and cooperatives, has said around 12 bhori gold has been missing from Bangladesh Samabaya Bank Limited's locker.

He came up with the information at the 57th Annual Planning Conference of Bangladesh Rural Development Academy (BARD) in Cumilla on Sunday.

“The bank’s assets are currently dispossessed. Those who were once in the bank dispossessed them. Cooperatives are struggling due to lack of cooperative mentality among their members," Hassan said, adding that legal action is being taken against the occupants.
