3 more dengue patients die, 829 hospitalised in last 24 hrs

Three more dengue patients died, and 829 were admitted to different hospitals across the country in the last 24 hours, as of Thursday morning.

"During this period, 352 dengue patients were hospitalised in Dhaka, while 477 were admitted to various hospitals outside the capital," said a regular bulletin issued by the Health Emergency Operation Centre and Control Room of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

This year, the total number of dengue cases has risen to 27,384, with 141 deaths reported from dengue so far, the bulletin added.

Last year, the country recorded 1,705 dengue-related deaths and a total of 321,179 dengue cases.
