Ex-MP Awal arrested

The Dhaka Metropolitan Police, DMP, arrested MA Awal, a former lawmaker from Lakshmipur-1 constituency, in the capital’s Kalabagan area on Wednesday (September 25).
Muhammad Talebur Rahman, deputy commissioner of DMP's media and public relations wing, confirmed the arrest to Jago News this afternoon.
He said Kalabagn police arrested MA Awal, also the chairman of Islami Democratic Party, in a forgery case.
