Govt forms 2 bodies to withdraw political cases

The interim government has formed two committees at ministry and district levels to recommend for the withdrawal of all the cases filed against political activists and other innocent individuals out of political vengeance and other reasons.

The Public Security Division under the Ministry of Home Affairs said this in a press release on Sunday.

The district level committe consists of district magistrate, superintendent of district police, metropolitan public prosecutor, and additional district magistrate.  

The ministry level committee comprised of law adviser, senior secretary, additional secretary and joint secretary of Public Security Division, and a representative from the Law Ministry.
