Menon, Inu, Mamun shown arrested in 2 more cases
Workers Party of Bangladesh President Rashed Khan Menon, Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JaSaD) President Hasanul Haq Inu, and former Inspector General of Police Chowdhury Abdullah Al-Mamun have been shown as arrested and ordered to be sent to jail in two separate murder cases filed with the Tejgaon police station in Dhaka.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Saddam Hossain on Sunday passed the order following petitions submitted by the police to show them as arrested in the cases.
Earlier, on August 4, Romiz Uddin Ahmed was shot dead during the anti-discrimination student movement in the Tejgaon area. The following day, on September 7, Romiz’s father, AKM Rakibul Hasan, filed a murder case against 223 individuals, including the three mentioned.
Additionally, Kobi Nazrul Government College student Tahidul Islam was killed by gunfire in the same area. His brother, Tariqul Islam, filed a case against 47 individuals, including the same suspects.
Previously, Menon, Inu, and Al-Mamun had already been shown as arrested in several cases.
