BGB seizes arms, ammo in Bandarban deep forest

Members of the Border Guard Bangladesh in a drive on Friday recovered huge quantities of firearms, ammunition, drone, signal Jammer and electronic equipment from bordering Dopanichhara deep forest area in Bandarban.

On information, BGB conducted the raid in the Dopanichhara border area under Ruma upzila, a BGB press release said.

Commander of BGB’s Ruma Battalion Lieutenant Colonel Hasibul Huq led the operation.

The BGB team identified a terrorist camp during their raid and recovered the firearms, explosives and other equipment from there.

The recovered weapons include two automatic carbine assault rifles, one semi-automatic assault rifle, three single barrel Breach Loading (SBBL) firearms, 21 round fresh bullets, a modern technology drone, one modern technology signal Jammer, one audio-video recorder, one video camera, one modern intelligence button camera, a hidden video recorder, a binocular, two Walkie-talkies, one laptop, two powerful lights, one solar system, one sky tv receiver, one umbrella, two android mobile phones, two button mobile phones, and various equipment including local made sharp weapons.

During the anti-terrorist drive, the BGB team also destroyed observation post, trench, temporary armory, rest house and kitchen used by the terrorist group inside the forest.
