Former planning minister Mannan sent to jail

A Sunamganj court on Friday morning sent former Planning Minister MA Mannan to jail.

Judge Farhan Sadik of Sunamganj Judicial Magistrate Court passed the order after the police produced him before the court, lawyer for the plaintiff Mashuk Alam told Jago News.

The joint forces arrested Mannan from his house in Shantiganj of Sunamganj on Thursday night in a case filed over the attacks on students and clashes during the Anti-Discrimination Students Movement in the district.
