6 dengue patients die, 865 hospitalised in 24 hrs

Six dengue patients died and 865 were hospitalised in the country in the last 24 hours.
With this, a total of 21,079 dengue cases and 119 deaths from the mosquito-borne disease were reported from January 1 to September 18 this year, a Directorate General of Health Services press release said on Wednesday.
Last year, the country recorded 1,705 deaths from the disease which was the highest fatality in a year.
Besides, 3,21,179 dengue cases were reported in the same year.
