Fake FF certificate holders to face music: Adviser

Liberation War Affairs Adviser Faruk E Azam has warned that the government will take measures against those who hold fake certificates of the freedom fighters.

He, also the advisor to the Disaster Management Ministry, told the reporters at his office at the Secretariat on Sunday.

Faruk was asked whether the government will take action if fake freedom fighters are traced, he replied, "Why not. If someone takes the benefits of freedom fighters without being a freedom fighter, it is a punishable crime."

The adviser said those who have secured jobs in the freedom fighter quota, whether they are the children of actual freedom fighters, the government will look into this.
