Ex-home minister's son Joty on 4-day remand
A Dhaka court has placed Safi Muddaser Khan Joty, the son of former Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan, on a four-day remand in an attempted murder case.
Dhaka Senior Judicial Magistrate Saiful Islam passed the order on Saturday after the police had produced him before the court, seeking a seven-day remand for fair investigation.
Dhaka district police arrested Joty in Ashualia on the outskirts of Dhaka on Friday night.
One Md Rabiul Sunny filed a case against 30 individuals, including former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and Joty, with the Ashulia police station on September 11 on allegation of attempting to murder him.
