Memorial meeting won’t be held on Sept 14

The memorial meeting to honor the martyrs of the recent student-led mass uprising will not be held on September 14 as the list of the martyrs is yet to be finished.

The meeting will take place later based on the list the Health Ministry is preparing, Information Adviser Nahid Islam told the reporters at the Secretariat on Thursday.

He said it is not possible to hold the memorial meeting on September 14 as the works is going on to make a list. “We will arrange the memorial meeting after the list is finalised.”

“So far, we received a list of 728 from the Health Ministry. We are contacting their families,” he added.

Earlier on Tuesday (September 10), the second meeting of the Adviser's Council Committee on Economic Affairs decided to hold the event at the Bangabandhu International Conference Center, BICC, in the capital, on September 14.
