Prannoy Verma, the Indian High Commissioner appointed in Dhaka, talks to media at the foreign ministry

Prannoy Verma, the Indian High Commissioner appointed in Dhaka, avoided questions about border killings.

He met the new foreign secretary Md Jasim Uddin at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Tuesday (September 10) at noon.

After the meeting, the journalists' question to the Indian High Commissioner was, 'Border killing is a hot topic, do you have any comments on it'?

In response to such questions from journalists, he said, "The foreign adviser has already spoken about it." After that, he left.

Regarding the meeting with the new secretary, he said, "There was a meeting with the foreign secretary who took the new responsibility.”

The Ministry of External Affairs is an important partner in relations with the government. It was a good meeting to get to know each other. In addition, there was a discussion about the border-centric communication, but there was no detailed discussion, he said.

"As I have said before, we have a deep relationship with Bangladesh. We work together for the security and development of the two countries, we want to keep that relationship going. We want to do more work in the future, added Pranay.
